Estêvão Willian 'Messinho'

Messinho plays more central nowadays tbf.

I.Diarra and Lamine are more likely to occupy the AM RW spots.
While at this age you buy based on talent more than need/position, we didn't have this luxury.

Echeverri is amazing, but unless he became full time LW he is, again, will occupy the AM position.

I'm interesting in seeing how Diarra turns out, could be a great bit of business for us, look right up their with those two at the U-17 WC.

Its just a shame that we (as fans) have no idea how he has developed over the past year. In the U17 World Cup he was way above Estevao and Echeverri for example, but both have had the luxury to progress immensely in their leagues. Meanwhile Diarra is not even at Ligue 1 in his own country.

The drawback of fishing in the African market I guess and you get what you pay for.

Yea it's like a black hole with him since U-17, I hope he's playing somewhere regularly to keep in form, and we are not starting from zero when he gets here.

How is Echeverri doing?
And yeah, it was a bad move by Estavao - Chelsea of all the clubs...

Just realised he is the joint top goal scorer in the league with 11 goals (7 more games to be played) and only 2 has more non penalty goals.

Very impressive, especially when you consider he got injury and had slow start for the season.

Considering our finances and young talents, I get why we didn't go for him.

OTOH, RM might have chosen the wrong Palmeiras talent.

Surprised Porky hasn't posted Brazil league only ranked two points above MLS so no way to evaluate Messinho's talent.

As much as Chelsea looked like a circus with all the transfer they really have amazing potential for the future if they get smart.
Indeed. I can see them in the title race next season if it all goes to plan. Estevao will no doubt lift them up to a great extent. He and Palmer should be running riot by all measures. But football is played on grass, we can never know till we see.

Well Chelsea still signed a ton of shit while Estevao was a generational talent the world saw, but for one reason or another Barcelona and Madrid couldn't go for.

They could have achieved the same while being more astute with signings and gaming the system, selling their hotel to themselves, etc.

Fuck em.

I agree, fuck them but they still have some very interesting young players with loads of potential. They can also sell like 20 of their players and fund new top signings.

I don't like what they have done in the past few years but it's not impossible that it works our longterm if they get smart football people in the club, Maresca looks like one. Hope they don't.

Chelsea has great left footed talents that it's crazy

Palmer, Messinho, Paez.

It'll be very difficult to keep them all happy.
