maybe a bit premature, but, in comparison, the 2014 world cup began on fire and went on to break a trend of increasingly low-scoring world cup finals. i guess we'll see

anyway, what's more concerning is the violence.

Why was Russia charged? I mean, I understand they attacked the English fans yesterday but English and French own fans have been fighting for 3 days. Now Russians attack once and suddenly they're charged? Most of you know I don't like Russia but this is a bit too selective.

Problem is Uefa can only punish for the stuff that happened inside the stadium. As far as I know, it were only the russians who charged yesterday so they're being punished. Everything else that happened the last few days in Marseille itself is jurisdiction of the french police.
