so far almost all the big teams at this Euros have had enjoyed 1 great game but slacked off in the others. Probably the closest to somewhat consistency we have is Italy who struggled vs Austria but still pulled through and also looked relatively chilled in group stage..

Nobody looks that good. Maybe upset coming? Czech or Denmark to win it all haha??

I think Italy have looked pretty good.

Even last night vs. Austria they played well, but lacked precision on the final pass.

They declined physically very hard at the start of the second half. Could have trouble against some athletic teams if they are not leading already.

I don?t doubt they could beat Belgium but why are people
rating Italy this high? Is it all based on those games vs lol teams so far?
Just look at the Dutch, flying in the group stages doesn?t mean that much.

Now that I think of it, when was the last time that a team that did great in the group stages actually won the tournament?

Don't think it's just group stage.

It's just general fatigue on part of every fan sick and tired of same old set of teams calculating 0-0's 1-1's 2-1's etc and playing rather dire, albeit sometimes effective, football while getting to that scoreline. Most big teams on international stage are associated with either laziness or uninspired approach, despite the talent pool. Italy are the antithesis of it, have been rather poor for 10-15 years with plenty of likeable players playing a refreshing style now coming through and trying to overturn the 2018 quali disaster.

Italy are evolving to be the opposite of traditional catenaccio and it's quite positive to see.
And I see the same opinions from both Real, Barca and everyone else. They're slowly becoming everyone's favourite because of how poor to watch the rest have become.

Edit: I should say, this is my suspicion of why people gravitate towards them. But it's certainly why I sympathise with them personally

These belgian players doesn't seem to be fit to play a whole match. Could barely move most of the second half. Is the team so old?

Also a remark about dutchies pissing the bed. I don't get the comments that said they were 'most fun' team, but lost in their usual fashion. This team has nothing on the golden generation that really played great attacking football, but always lacked something to win. Last time they were even remotely fun to watch was, when Nistelroy still played, which is long time ago. This team is full of mediocrity and drab tactics. No comparison to Barca either as they aren't even good at possession or passing game. Didn't mind them loosing at all this time around.

Their games were fun to watch. Entertaining.

It doesn't mean they play perfect football. Mostly high risk high reward type.

Fair enough.

Momentum is with Italy.

Volkswagen also has an eye on the action, and will be driving mobility stats during the tournament, measuring the distance covered and top speeds reached. Can anyone better the 32.8km/h Kingsley Coman reached for France against Switzerland at EURO 2016?

The answer is an easy yes.
