On the other hand, Ajax is my second favourite choice for EL glory (alongside Anderlecht) so it's a bit of consolation.

Got 4 games during that period of 10 days too, Arsenal and Spurs away included, excellent. Definitely make or break for the season a few injuries to the backline and Ibra looks to be out too, wouldn't be confident against any of those 3 though to be honest all 3 are good sides and we rely too much on individuals.

True. I like the EL anyway and some clubs should really compete for it and be eager to win the competition.
Sevilla is on another level after their success in EL, for Atletico the two wins were a good step forward etc. For a club like Arsenal the tournament would be perfect to develop and get their winning mentality back. Instead of being obsessed with top 4 (without silverware) and 1/8 finals in CL (without silverware) they could finally implement winning DNA in their team.

Would have been huge for Liverpool last year, could help Benfica (to break that crazy curse), Porto, Napoli, Roma, several German clubs etc. to grow.

Celta and Ajax are the big surprises at this stage. Especially Ajax who made it to the 1/2 finals with one of the youngest squad in the tournament. Our boy Onana, Davinson Sanchez and Bertrand Traore are 20-21 years old. Two other starters against Schalke were Matthijs De Ligt and Justin Kluivert who are just 18.
