Didn't watch the game, but judging from highlights and xG maps, UTD were clearly superior.

Expect them to go through in the 2nd leg

When will you learn that the world doesn't revolve around xG, especially not in a knockout format?

United picked up a bunch of injuries and suspension btw.

It reflects the effectiveness of both teams Morten.
But even just from the extended highlights, it can easily be seen that SEvilla were dominated big time.
Did you see something else in this game?

Of course they were dominated, whoever said they weren't?

They got a result somehow, as they often do in this competition.

Now, what about those injuries and suspensions, United will not exactly be fielding their best team in the return leg, and their away form isn't exactly stellar.

Sevilla could well get away with it now.

Its better to be lucky than to be good anyhow, they just need to get lucky one more time and they are through.

I don't know which stats you checked but the xG doesn't reflect domination. Utd should have won but they didn't deserve to score more than 2.

Man Utd (1.74) 2-2 (0.65) Sevilla

Sevilla's both goals are counted as xG of 0.00 because they were own goals. So in reality it was much closer than it seems.

You're welcome
Birdy right about Sevilla being dominated most game. Would say up until the Bruno sub Sevilla couldn’t do much. Man U in general is much faster than them so any counter they tried Man U would just easily catch up to try get ball back or defend. Also Man U played for 10 min with 10 man because Martinez had to come off but Ten Hag had used all subs already.

Malacia was a bit poor though. Also caused the first goal by shooting ball against De Gea for it to find own net.

Also some weird tactic involved with Martial. Was heavily involved in build up but would never be at receiving end of a final pass or cross. Don’t think he had a single shot. Sancho however was allowed to take his chances. Not at all how it would have looked with Rashford.

Antony starting look a bit more like a proper player. No slowing down the game or showboating. Trying to make the most with his pace and properly passing ball. Had two great attempts.

Imagine Sevilla knocking out United with or without winning EL while Barca took beatings vs Frankfurt and United

Needs to become a starter first. But it won?t be long before that happens imo.
He is playing LB now and that seems to be the position he is best in.
Another massive performance in Europe from him yesterday.
How much % does Barca have on a future sale?
