Laporta definitely fucked up somewhat here, but luckily for him and Barca in general, the briefings about it being subject to soci approval took the heat off us.

great! the whole of asia and US will watch the elite competition. unlikely europe will not, with all the bullshit hypocrisy about 'death of football'.

all these other clubs crying now, when in fact the only incentive they got out of getting that CL spot was the money it brought. all the clubs got in the UEFA freak show and everybody kept their mouth shut, cashed in what they could and got spanked by the big boys.

is that the right spirit of a competition? to get in knowing you don't have a chance but being happy about the money involved?

i say we let the 12-15 businesses(as that's what they are for some time) go at it and see what's what.

the people that 'care about football', wouldn't mind watching ludogorets against celtic in the CL or whatever it's going to be called. at least you know both have a chance to win something or really compete. right?

That imploded quickly lol, the aspect of 15 teams being permanent members was a bad one, especially with spurs & arsenal, wtf have they done to be given such a position, a team like Sevilla deserved it more.

But we shouldn't let this distract us from the fact that the CL needs to be reformed and this new idea they came up with is horrible.

I take it that's faked. He didn't actually say "My balls have been french kissing my knees this whole time". If so I have a new hero.

Imagine if clubs and fans cared as much about, say, the Qatar world cup, maybe they could have done something about that too.

they are run like a business, have new shinny stadiums and are relevant for african/asian/us fan base. sevilla is a nobody outside EL. and i do like them.
