I don't watch much english league football so am not going to judge talent/ballplaying stuff. That said, however, Sideshow Bob has better hair than Coloccini.

Lol @ World class. He'll never be world class.. You do know what world class means, right? LOL

He's a good player for a small club.... that's why he'll be at Newcastle for a long, long time.

So was Brad Jones a good player for a small club and nothing more? Only when he signs for Man Utd does he automatically become more than a good player for a small club in your eyes

You and your football knowledge, especially when it comes to judging those players of smaller clubs that you never watch play more than 2 times a season, when they play your beloved Man Utd

Just a short description from Coloccini's Central defensive partner at Newcastle Mike Williamson said: "He is one of the most laid-back players I have ever played with. His quality on the ball is just unbelievable.

"Playing alongside him is not difficult because he is a world-class player.

"He has got everything in his game - he can head it, he can tackle, he can play. He has got the full package."

He is Mr. Consistent, and that is all you could ask for from a player, especially a defender.

Ah yeah, I remember. Just realised you made that video, therefore others that you'd made were linked to it! I'm a genius.

HBA is funny. I like how passionate his arguments are but he does come across as a bit delusional :D

Coloccini has been really, really good for us for a couple of years now tbf. Easily our best player.

He is solid but still gets caught at times positionally. He has a magnificent keeper behind him in Krul and a midfielder in Tiote who does an impressive amount of pressing and coverage.

He also lacks pace. He is very good though at passing the ball out from deep. Solid but not exceptional.

He's been fantastic this season.

He's only been caught out once maybe twice this season, and that was when he plays to win a foul in our own half. He almost always gets the free kick, but against Wolves referee waved play on and no foul, their striker went forward and Krul made a couple of fantastic saves.

As for Tiote, he is a fantastic defenisve midfielder and I have blown his trumpet on here more than anyone. But this season, the last 2 games aside, Tiote has been awful! Mainly due to his fasting during Ramadan. So I don't think Tiotes performances are down to Coloccini doing so well this season, the season before that and the season before that.

He is very impressive and certainly exceptional.

He just won North East Footballer of the year award. How often does a such an award go to a Center Back? last year Darren Bent won it I think, or maybe it was Carroll or Adam Johnson.

He IS WORLD CLASS! and a fantastic Captain that leads by example and is Mr. Consistent and always seems to have a good game.

An Argentina recall cannot be far away if Newcastle can maintain their high position(as that is the only way you can get noticed by National team managers these days, being in the top 4), and he continues to play the way he has done the last 2 years. el diego should have taken him to South Africa instead of Otamendi. At least Coloccini has experience of playing in the World Cup finals.

He has genuinely been exceptional for us for nigh on 2 years now. I know fans always overrate their own players but he's remarkably consistent, easily the best centre half I've seen play for us (not that he's got much competition there mind) and the reason we have the best defence in the league this season.

Very underrated by outsiders because of his performances in the relegation season. People will laugh at HBA for his over the top posting style and exaggerated opinions but people were laughing at him last season when he was raving about Enrique. Ask what Liverpool fans think of him now...

I am Leg End
Coloccini is different because we have seen him at Depor and made opinions of him then. Like me.

I think he is solid enough and good at what he does. I would question his concentration though. Sometimes it is low and it costs you a goal.

I was a fan of him at Depor but he's grown into a better player since he came here. He's better than solid for us, take him our of our side and we'd be instantly relegation fodder. He makes up for the inadequacies of our other centre backs and our shocking fullbacks.

I'm happy for him to go under the radar though, means he's more likely to stay. Most people who don't watch us on a regular basis still think he's shite which suits me fine.

I will say he is solid and he is better than Otamendi who consistently makes mistakes ie not staying on his feet and always over anticipating.

And yes he is well loved at Newcastle with Sideshow Bob now being a term of affection.

Personally I'd like to see him remain there and keep doing what he is doing. I think there are better young prospects for Argentina in the shape of Federico Fernandez and Matias Silvestre who is slightly younger and has been also Mr.Consistent for Catania and now at Palermo.
