Barca B--Lleida match going on right now and the scoreline is 1-0 with Kaptoum with the goal. Alcoyano lost yesterday(2nd place) so Barca B just needs two wins out of their final 5 remaining games to secure first place in the standings.

He's built a good solid system, Motivated the players and did a great job with the tactical/coaching aspect as well this season. the B team also has a real nice solid defensive spine with.

Palencia-Marlon-Martinez-Cucurella.

All four seemed to be on the same page most of the time. Can't forget about Jose Suarez either despite being injured right now he's done a great job in Goal. Nili,Lopez,Moi also did a great job when called upon.

I'd take Lopez as first team coach over Unzue. He's done a very nice job with the B team.

What I don't like about that is that he's got a close relationship with some of the first team players. I'd prefer someone from an earlier generation, like Óscar García.

Barça B started doing well when all the reinforcements in attack, who are all too good for Segunda B, started scoring goals. Lopez should be credited for positive work on youth like Suarez, Palencia, Ferran, Aleña, and Kaptoum to some extent, but I'm not sure at all that he himself would play as big of a role to promotion like Pep and Lucho did. He's a good guy, but I haven't seen anybody who views him as that big of a coaching talent. I'd like to see him in La Liga first, maybe at his childhood club Valencia. Now that would be some achievement, if he'd be successful.

Pep bought players who were far too good for 4th division when he was a coach too,and he was coaching in a league that is far inferior than Barca B used to play, last time before it to play in 4th division Pep was 3 years old kid. Never mind we announced the hiring before we were promoted and Rijkaard himself stated that he was told in January that Pep will take over next year.
Point is Pep wasn't hired for what he achieved with B team, because what he achieved there was little tbh,he was hired because he was always seen as a future good coach even when he was a player. When the likes of LVG,Crujif etc think you are gonna be a successful coach you can't ignore that.
Gerard is doing a relatively fine job,is he seen as such good coach as Pep? doubt it but if so I won't mind him obviously.
But I think he would be better take Lucho and Eusebio route and start proving himself in Liga first.

Which players? Do you mean former teammates? because I doubt it since only Iniesta was in 1st team in his last season
