How is this Barto's fault clown?
He LITERALLY gave Laporta a plan detailing emergency action how to KEEP MESSI
I mean doesn't every club do that?
"That optimism clashes with the prudence of clubs like Real Madrid, which in 2020-2021 decided only to budget its passage to the knockout stages of the Champions League after its latest European results."
Apparently not, the same 2playbook article above states:
So if they didn't qualify to round 16 it would have been the same.
This happens every years by clubs, they have to estimate ton of variables out there
Sorry for crashing the party, but many players have variable salary components in their contracts when club reaches the CL quarter-finals. Once so called "easily attainable bonuses" from more successful times. This is also factored into the budget.
By going to the EL, club not only loses price money. There are also no variable salary payments on the expenditure side.
Have not seen an invoice that has even rudimentarily taken this into account. One always only speaks of one side of the coin.
Do we know how many players' salaries have that kind of cause built in and how much money we are talking about here?

And yet you want the guy responsible for all of that back as president.
Not his fault they're bums lol
