Nah, to hell with them. If anything good comes out of this then not watching Qatar on Barca shirts is a thing to cherish.

Worst case scenario we suck it up for a couple of months, Barto gets the sack and we vote a new presi in. Which seems pretty good to me anyway.
I just hope Bartomeu won't sell undervalue but I'm pretty sure he will. There's not many offers it seems, although he said last summer he got lots.

Refreshing opinion vlad. If Barca board were honest and trustworthy people I think more people would share your opinion.
I am afraid wthe club has lost that special aura for good though.

What makes Barca special is how they have represented their fans and members symbolically in Spain/Europe.

That and the style of play of recent years and some of the worlds greatest players playing that way.

All that is far more important than what is on the front of the shirt.

If people feel Barca have lost some of their aura then that is a personal opinion and thats sad for them I suppose. Lost none of it for me.

Naive opinion, unless you also don't care about the club going the same path Milan or Liverpool are now, and become a midtable team. Times were quite different when there was no sponsor. That's not possible anymore, if you want the club to remain successful.

I've been a fan in years when we were winning nothing and still loved the club.

Saying that losing a shirt sponsor would make Barca a mid-table team is laughable.

That's all.

Of course it wouldnt make Barcelona a mid table club they would still have the second biggest budget in Spain but probably start falling away from the other top teams in europe financially and would find it harder to keep groups of top players together if you potentially take 60/70m out each year.

I have been a Barca fan for years also and having a shirt sponsor does not change for me at all how special the club is.

The aura and special feeling watching the likes of MSN for me far outweighs watching inferior players in a sponsorless shirt.

So was I. But yes, losing money, when the epl is getting a lot of it, not to mention when rm have bankia and other banks at their disposal, would lead to many problems which can actually put us in another gaspart era, or worse, most likely. Times have changed a lot, that romantic view is really naive. Unless, as I said, you're ok with being a midtable club, losing players and winning nothing year after year. Those aren't times I'd would like to relive, though. I'd surely rather have a different sponsor, but no sponsor is not possible anymore. If you want to keep being a top club. there's already a disavantage to the epl, losing even more money won't help keeping a competitive squad.
