FC Barcelona Finances

That's right assuming one holds the bond to the end. But bonds are publicly traded and their prices are determined on the market. Usually due to changes in interest rates. If rates fall, higer rate bonds will grow in value.

But if demand for a bond is high (due to reasons, for example Barca fans wanting to help the club out), its price would also rise.

So if Barca see bonds being sold quickly, they can up the price of sale?

Isn't there some rich asshole in this world who supports the club as much as we do?

Donate 10-100m as a way to help the club bro.

Thanks Joan, got it. Good points.

I too have been thinking about this, someone like Hamburg's Klaus-Michel Kuehne, a HSV fan-billionaire who has been pumping a lot of money to their club (he is a minority holder though), but unfortunately we don't. That said, nothing is free, I suppose if there was some rich guy/gal who wants to give us money, there would be strings attached, at the very least that person will gain some clout within the club, not something we want to see.

"#FCBarcelona have been severely hit by COVID, but their model was already under severe pressure with an enormous wage bill and astronomical transfer spend funded by significant debt. Messi?s sale last summer would have been the smart thing to do. A period of austerity is likely."

What Messi sale? He wanted to leave for free.

This is based on the presumption that City would've forked the cash to bring him last summer. And you have the massive savings of nearly 100m which is his gross salary if I'm not mistaken.

So, 1 year without Messi, even if City pay only 50m (let's say for the sake of the argument), this is 150m. is it not? About a third of what we have to pay in 2021 in terms of debt (I read it's 400 something million).

We are selling/loaning all stars players (Griezmann, Coutinho, Dembele, Messi) and we are not buying anyone for 2 or 3 years at least. Eric, Depay anc free agents... are the only players we can afford. We have to survive these years with la Masia: Ilaix, Jandro, Collado, Konrad, Nico, Balde, Mingueza, Araujo, Ansu...

The worst thing may be the need to sell Ansu, Pedri, De Jong, Araujo...

Total debt: 1.173M
730M to pay short term
266M to pay before June 30
New loan for 100m

The club has a total debt of 1,173m euros (730m short-term)
Goldman Sachs' 90M loan, as well as other loans totaling 200M, do have collateral: The company Bar?a Licensing & Merchandising acts as guarantor of these credits. The club said they had no guarantee
The club is looking for a 100M loan to pay salaries these months with the guarantee that the club will sell players worth 100M to repay that loan. In other words, future player sales would go to cover this loan.

More.
Starting with the 126 million whose payment Bar?a must face in the short term, the payroll includes 19 players plus the aforementioned five million for Atl?tico. The highest figure is that of Coutinho, for which they will have to pay 29 million to Liverpool, followed by the 16 of Frenki De Jong (of 75 + 11 to Ajax) and a payment of almost 10 kilos to Girondins for Malcom (who today he plays for Zenit, which in turn, as shown below, also owes Bar?a almost the same amount). Complete the top 4 Trincao, signed in January from Sporting de Braga for 31 million, of which he must pay 9.6.

Arthur Melo is another of those who appear in the two sections. In debit, Bar?a still has to pay almost 8 million to Gremio for the Juventine today. More logical is that Betis expect nine kilos for Junior Firpo (he arrived in 2019).

In the curiosities section, it is striking that Bar?a still owes Villarreal 241.00 euros for Denis Su?rez (movement of 2016) and 2.4 kilos to Eibar for the repurchase of a Cucurella who has been a member of Getafe for two seasons

:wow:

The government will have to bail us out at this point.

Owing 126m to other clubs for previous transfers is a joke on its own. Albeit, there will be cashflows incoming from other clubs who owe us for purchasing our players.

This club is gonna go bankrupt.

Owing money for transfers is normal as it is the way transfers are done.

Barca will be owed for transfers as well.

Owing too much for players that havent performed is another thing.
