FC Barcelona is only one match away from equaling Franco Madrid's number of official victories in the El Clásico games. Franco Madrid (86) and FC Barcelona (85) and 45 draws.

If we include the friendly matches then we are leading with 113 victories to Franco Madrid's 90.

In terms of the number of official trophies the two clubs are tied with 74 each. FC Barcelona do actually have 77 official trophies (when official meaning recognized by RFEF, UEFA or FIFA) due to their 3 victories in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (the predacessor of the UEFA Cup) but that tournament is only recognized by FIFA and not UEFA.

But some do include it. If so we lead with 77-74.

Messi is also only 5 goals from equaling the highest number of goals scored by a player in El Clásico and one behind our own César with 14 goals.
