I would say: we are the worst team in Europe, defending corners, since ALWAYS.

Except on very rare occasions when we were ok.
Opponents are always attacking us on corners and counters, since 1992 and Crujff, that is not only about Valverde.

Was about to say precisely this. While we gave up a few more in his later seasons, he did an excellent job of improving this for us defensively.

To his credit he did improve some things. Among others he also brought the pressing back, trying to actively take the ball back after losing it. Both his big changes lasted about 18 months though.
