A bit under the radar, but the UEFA Youth League returns tomorrow with Barcelona away to Stuttgart in a one off knockout game.

KO is at 16CET. Stuttgart were 5th in the League phase and we were 4th. So should be a close game and a good test.

Guys I don’t really watch Barça Atletic that much tbh with you but I want to ask whoever is watching Atletic and their games regularly, how is Noah Darvich doing and also why doesn’t Flick give Noah Darvich his debut with the first team. I remember the hype around him was insane back in 2023 when we signed him.

If he isn't good enough to start for the b team, he's certainly not good enough to play for the a team. The hype wasn't insane either. He was highly rated because of his national team performances but never looked like an top talent.

Nice display by Quim. In my eyes he is missing that bit of grace or natural instinct needed in a top level 10. But he did have some very nice plays and seems to take responsibility offensively, which is good.

Good post. Lacks a bit of pausa and a touch of technique. A more advanced Casado if you will.

But a top talent which Flick took to the US tour last Summer and seems to like.

Let's see if he gets the same or more prominence next Summer.

Should be a firm fixture for the B next season so hopefully they stay up. Move Guille to the LW.

Darvich is stagnating.

His contract is up next year so will probably be sold to a BL team with buy back and/or percentage of future sale.

But personally would extend him and give another season in BA (unless we get relegated which would be a big blow as most players would need to be loaned to play on a higher level). He obviously gets a pass for last season when he was still adapting to a new club and country at a very young age and this season having a bad coach like Sanchez didn't help him (or any other player) much.
