He'd accept to be a backup more easily (though he'd play a lot), scored a ton of goals and has played for Barcelona B (under Lucho!), and he'd come for much cheaper.

People on forums tend to either overstate or understate the talent of rumored transfers. I guess being forceful in our opinions makes them more valid.

Said that we should have signed him as a B plan option before he went to Naples. Nothing to lose as he was free. We dont look like scoring in many games and need to stop turning our noses up at players that thrive off the long ball and crosses. A missed opportunity.

Agree. Always wanted Llorente as a second option even during the Pep era. Even at the age of 34, Llorente is second to none in the aerial department and he will always have that goalscoring ability. Not as mobile as before but he would be a decent option off the bench for any top team IMO. In particular ours as our aerial ability and game upfront is non-existent and sometimes the easiest way to score is to flood the penalty box with crosses. Basically how RM won their CL's (simplified version).

Lightyears ahead of the pathetic KPB option that our useless board invented back in January.

Anyway that train has passed.
