id just like to add that comparing players based on their pricetags is completely fair because price tags are objective standards by which to judge and value players. if falcao's buy-out clause is 60 million its because atletico feels that as a player falcao is worth that 60 million. they arent slapping that ammount of money on, say, atleticos keeper because he isnt valued as highly.
if then torres was bought for 63 million youd have to assume that both him and falcao are on the same level, relatively.
of course, they arent. but their pricetags are comepletely valid grounds for comparison.
