Cesc was our worst player and he scored a goal! Thiago wasn't very influential either. Alves was the king of the right half of the pitch and deserved a goal and had the opportunity to score too. Puyol did not let poor Neymar breath. Valdes was magnificent in both 1-on-1s.

Santos isn't the best team out there, but when you play against 5 midfielders + Alves, Messi, and Pique, all of whom can play as midfielders, you are bound to chase the ball for 90 minutes. You can't blame the opposing defenders for their slips, no player can maintain perfect concentration and keep that fighting spirit against so many waves of attack from players who can do virtually anything they want with the ball.

It was not as easy as it seemed, Barcelona made it look so. Don't they always?
