They deserve to be eliminated, they missed so many chances.

Yep and they did have a boat load of great chances, how on earth did they miss all of those...Some criticism has to be levied at Lopetegui too, unfortunately...I thought they looked uninspired for long stretches while Uruguay's ambition was clear for any neutral to see - Spain guilty of complacency even on youth levels?...Not taking anything away from Uruguay who were very reminiscent of the senior side that had that nice run of form at the WC, Daxla & their #10 both very skilled players...But Spain were the more talented side, easily...Disappointed with Oliver actually, thought he failed to impose himself on the match outside of a few moments of brilliance...A tepid performance, IMHO

Suso was the better performer today but I don't think Oliver was that bad, just a bit quieter and going on about his business rather than being the center of things. They didn't seem complacent as a team, rather the misguidance in attack kept them from actually channeling forward or finishing well.

IMO this team was not good enough to win WC. The midfield was weakest out of all, Oliver and Suso have no idea how to control the game, because any team could easily reach Spain's penalty area and have a shot on goal. Spain was lucky against Ghana and Mexico, but today they got what they deserved. In the U21 Cup the midfield was so solid, that opposition could hardly get a ball, let alone trouble De Gea.

Oliver torres has been spain's best player in the tournament in my opinion. He seems to be the real deal. It's a shame he'll more likely never play for us..

And all this Jese, Deulofeu and Paco are not next Ronaldo, Villa and so on, but rather next Torres all of them.

Did you watch Maria?...I really wonder who is more to blame, the players or Lopetegui...Most tepid performance I can recall from a team he managed in the last few years

Oliver is a neat midfielder, would fit in barca mould yall are so keen on.

In other news, check for Lichovsky (CB) and Castillo (fw) today. I been talking about buyin Lichovsky for Barca CB for while, Castillo as well should develop into a good 9. Both play trade in chile at U de Chile and Catolica respectively.

Edit: before yall jump all over me, I'm think Barca should buy multiple CB's, one or two young ones and one or maybe two experienced guys. But they can be had from South Amerca for pennies on the dollar. One experienced one from Europe and two young guys from South America would be ideal for me.

Lol no one cares not that Spain is out or what?

eff spain anyway.

anyway, Ghana upset Chile today but deserved it, Chile players looked too tired to be bothered to mark and work properly from the outset, they only showed little glimpses of what in my opinion is one most talented teams in the tournament. The best example of the clusterfuck Chile performance is the winning goal in the 120th minute by Ghana.

Rabello and Robles are two good players for them.

In other news, Iraq beat Korea in pens, nice for Iraq.

Semis set with France to face Ghana and Iraq to face Uruguay.

"@O_Hal1t: #France has now won every competition: Olympic, ConfeCup, WC (senior, U20, U17) and EURO (senior, U21, U19, U17). NO team has ever done that"
