Perez is back on the galactico train with one big signing per season, but let's call it functional galacticos this time.

Imagine if for 2025 they brought in Xabi and Wirtz.

Yeah they're now in a very strong position compared to us. We buy cheap young players who're still in development/older players who're negotiating their last fat contract while they can buy proven young players who're one of the best in their position. Sad part is that the players they're going to fase out are also the biggest earners. Yeah must admit, I admire Perez for how he runs that club, it seems he surrounded him with capable guys who knows what they're doing. Our squad is certainly not bad, we have some young players with great potential but we need to surround them with proven players with experience at the highest level in the age class of 24 - 28 but those players we can't afford sadly enough.

[Sky] Currently the plan for Florian Wirtz is to leave Leverkusen in 2025. He wants to join Bayern before moving abroad later in his career. There have been no talks between Bayern and Leverkusen, although Leverkusen is expected to demand at least €100m for Wirtz, who’s under contract until 2027.
