Can't find a better thread

Allegedly blue card (10 min sin bin) getting brought in
2 blue cards = red
Blue + yellow = red

trying to tackle ref protesting and cynical tactical fouls leading to scoring opportunities
"FIFA wishes to clarify that reports of the so-called 'blue card' at elite levels of football are incorrect and premature. Any such trials, if implemented, should be limited to testing in a responsible manner at lower levels, a position that FIFA intends to reiterate when this agenda item is discussed at the IFAB AGM on 2 March."

Well was being said its only being trialled in FA Cup and presumably in a few games involving low level sides only

Blue cards will make it even easier for referees in LaLiga to influence Madrid games.

The idea is taking from Rugby, where if you watch it the tier 1 nations always get benefitted against the tier 2 in regards to implementation.

Or hockey where they hand 10-minute misconduct, go sit on the bench/sidelines.

Should introduce the pink card as well. I came up with the concept just now - you go to aid an injured opponent before the doctors, you instantly get a booking reversed. And meantime you are the one who tackled hard the poor bastard.:mou:

More bullshit just to bullshit a simple game. Instead of handing all the rainbow colors they should make VAR conversations of all refs audible and live.

Post 3 new football rules u would implement if u could

I start.

1- five second rule for those who protect the ball with their ass near the corner flag. An anti-football tactic to waste time that is not only ugly, but also illogical. The player holding the ball is protected by the two side lines and worse, the fight for the ball is always a mess and refs just blindly end up giving a foul randomly to one of the two teams. My suggestion : u have 5 seconds to do something with the ball or ar least face the field with ur body, or else an Indirect free-kick.

2- penalty kicks substitutions. Instead of changing a GK or a PK shooter 20 seconds before the shout out, it makes more sense if u allow substitutions to take place after the match before PKs (provided that the concerned team still has substitutions).

3- this one is the most important : standardize football pitches size. No more "recommended dimensions" with a minimum or maximum. This is bullshit and with the current physicality of the game small pitches make games closed and boring. One dimension for all and that should correspond to the current maximum length and width.

According to L'Equipe allegedly new rules going to be trialled at the FIFA CWC

Apparently, a player who inflicts injury/causes need for sideline treatment of another player, will now need to leave the field with said player until they return or are subbed out
If the team has run out of subs for a legitimately injured player, the player who inflicted it will be removed from play (without a red card)

Not too sure about that. I mean it's good in theory but it can be exploited.

Some trash player goes into a challenge with Yamal, holds his face to get treatment, then Yamal would have to join him?

Cue jokes about Barca not being in CWC.

I think it's basically this in a nutshell -

That sounds absolutely idiotic, we don't need MORE play acting in football ffs.

Should be if a player goes down holding their head (knowing the ref has to stop the game), VAR checks if his head was touched at all, not saying delay the game, just check in the background. If it wasn't then they have to be off the pitch for x amount of time + yellow card.

Just anything to stop the needless acting

I'm more concerned about the fouling than the acting. I like the idea.

I've also thought it would be good to institute some kind of team foul/penalty box rule so teams can't break up play ad nauseam without consequences. If the team accumulates, let's say, 8 fouls, then one player is sent off the pitch for 5 minutes. The next 4 fouls, another 5 minutes. The next 2, another 5 minutes.
