Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

Barçapocalypse NOW!
I surely didn't expect this... And this is the worst possible timing!

Anyway, get well Tito and hope he can recover and be a champion like Abidal!

I may not like him as a coach, and think he's not good enough to coach Barca, but it's horrible news. I feel sorry for him and hope he recovers as quickly as possible.

Anyways, he should have resigned when he first got that relapse in December. Or at the end of the season. IMO, at least.

Horrible news. I have nothing against him personally and I hope he recovers fully. He is a human being after all and I hope for the best for him. I am, however, glad he won't be coaching next season. The combo of his condition and his role at FCB has done no one any good. He should focus on recovering.

I am interested to see what will happen next season. For starters, who will take over, and further, whether the new coach will share our thoughts on issues such as two attacking fullbacks, wingers pushed to the sideline, no pressing, etc. It may be inappropriate to say at this moment and I don't mean to be disrespectful, but as far as the team goes, I'm looking forward to this change.

I have been one of Tito's sternest critics and had called for him to resign, so I am not going to be a hypocrite and now say that I am unhappy that he has left his post as head-coach. However, what does sadden me, is the circumstances of his departure from the club. :(

I genuinely hope he can fully recover from this terrible illness and to return to the club he loves in some other capacity.

Get well soon! :tito:

anims Tito...

I kinda wished for him to retire this season, baring in mind his illness and thought rest would serve him better and all, only I didn't wish he would have to do that forcibly... :(

Come on Tito... Be positive man, you will sure stay safe

So sad for Tito to leave like this. He seems such a good person and did a really good job as coach especially considering his illness.

I really hope he gets better, and i think its a good choice to step down to focus 100% on the cancer.

I didnt like him as a main coach in the first place and hope we can find someone better.
