Francesc "Tito" Vilanova

:(

At the very least, he won't have to deal with the pressure of coaching Barca this time and will be able to focus entirely on his health.

Ugh... I feel so bad for Tito. I guess he couldn't estimate the cancer too well. He should have left the club either as soon as he had the diagnosis or at the latest, take a leave of absence as soon as the league finished. Cancer treatment is hampered through work and stress, so this is not good news that they had to wait until last week to decide to pull the plug. IMO, this was very bad management on the part of the club.

Vilanova will today undergo surgery in Barcelona, after which he will again have chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment. [la vanguardia]

Good luck to him. Hope it goes well.

Third time now, hard to be certain but sounds like metastasis which makes it an even rougher uphill battle...Good luck to him

Good to see him enjoying life :) Hope he will beat this cursed disease once in for all :)
I was scared to open his thread... But I saw the first part of your post on the home page and then I couldn't stop myself. Thank God he's okay and I hope he'll get past all his troubles very soon

So he went through with full chemo it looks like. Hope his body can recover, he's at his weakest and they put him on the cover of the Sports news. Sad journalism.
