Franck Ribery or David Silva

This is my opinion too. Henry is playing great but he is not a natural winger.
We would be more effective with a player who is natural AM.
I hope that Gai will prove himself and that Pep will give him a chance next year. If not, just buy Robinho or Ribery.

Why do we need a 'natural winger' to be more effecctive than when we are with henry? Id understand buying a winger as a second option..but why are u so concerned about putting a winger on that side, even though we have played with forwards that cut inside since the cruyff days. Not to mention henry has been firing on all cylinders and has arguably been our best player since december.

Maybe because he's turning 32 soon, and he himself said he isn't comfortable playing as a left winger and would prefer a central role. He's still putting in a solid display tbh, but a left winger like Ribery/Silva seems to make more sense for me than Henry.

Exactly, and Silva is the ideal choice for me because compared to Ribery he's better and younger, has more potentional while ribery is somewhere near top. Silva would adapt fast and can play on either side and in the middle as well, he has a strong shot and has already played with Xavi and Iniesta with spain.

Silva is not better than Ribery .. He´s the best left winger in the world atm (this is just my opinion don´t bite my head off ..) his dribbling skills are far more superior, he can pass, shoot .. he´s got it all, and only 25 years old. Sure Silva is younger, but Ribery is not old. I don´t know, I just like the guy :smile:

However silva is definitely suited to la liga, not to mention he can fill in in messi's position if needs be. They are both great players, i just feel silva edges it.

Henry is good and producing some nice performances. However, like Evil said, we need to think about the future. Valencia will probably sell Villa to cover their debts so I don`t think Silva would come much cheaper than Ribery

Ribery. He would be our second Messi, on left side, he is very fast and have great skill. But Henry is in good form and i dont like changes when thay dont needed...if Barca sell Henry, Ribery would be good for us but if Henry stay i dont see place for Ribery it would be again "fantastic four" and we see how that goes last seasson...

I opened the thread a while back, and at the time everyone was pointing strongly to either Silva or Ribery. Obviously there are other options like Van Persie and a few other players but everyone talked about these two the most. Who do you have in mind ?

@Maz .. I know you can't judge a player by two matches, but just for the sake of argument. Ribery scored a goal in each match against Lithuana (can't spell it), while Silva basically did nothing against Turkey, I watched the match yesterday and is definatley not someone I would like to see leading our left wing based on that performance, he got substitued for Busquets later in the match.
