The best player at Bayern is Phillip Lahm IMO. Easily the best in the world in his position and I've never seen him have a bad game.

I disgree. He clearly is.

Beat me to it. Ribery also doesn't have 2nd on lockdown, no clear edge over Robben or Schweini for me, unless we're just judging based on the past handful of matches as Schweinsteiger hasn't been too hot this season so far.

He is very good, but not the best. Probably the third after Messi and Ronaldo.
Stop talking about it you, poor Franck

I'm feeling a little uncomfortable that Ribery won the award with 68% of the votes, while Iniesta last year got it with only 36%. Makes him seem much better than he is somehow.

Makes him seem like he accomplished something. Which he did. Don't take that away from him. Winning the treble, making your team look good, playing attractive footy...He's had a tremendous year. A well deserved award.

Agreed that he deserved it, but as I've said before, in my eyes it was the Bayern team that functioned as a whole, not one individual player carrying it. For me the most important Bayern player was Lahm, with Schweinsteiger, Müller and Ribery being great as well. No doubt he had the best season of his career, but getting 2/3 of the votes makes him, individually, seem much superior to anybody else, which in my eyes he wasn't.

Well not every time Messi and Ronaldo wins the award. Ribery's hard work has finally been rewarded. Too bad he's getting old already. Although I agree with suckabov, it wasn't ribery himself. It was the whole team that gave Bayern a super season.

Have you watched Bayern besides CL? Obviously not, otherwise you wouldnt state such nonsense. Ribery was clearly the best player destroying opponents on his own and delivering amazing performances almost every weekend. I agree that the team functioned as a whole, but Ribery was the cream of the cake..his season was just phenomenal.
