bigger question is, if he is a cule, why was he following Madrid in the first place

A good point.
He is humble, not interested in money, a lifelong Barca's fan and dreaming about us.
Yet he is following Real Madrid on Instagram/Twitter and will probably sign for Money Saint Germain.

And then people are writing how Rabiot is a brat, blah blah.
These new gen of players are all the same. Money Money Money.

Good point, let's change it back before it is too late... :p

He speaks really good English and he allegedly follows us, you never know he might be surfing one of the biggest Barca forums out there, if not the biggest.

Let's hope he is reading it.
He needs to realize that he also acted like a spoiled brat.

Or will we hurt his feelings for saying this out loud?

We don't need more snowflakes in a team, we have enough of them.

I wouldn't say that. PSG followed up with a delegation of its own after ours departed the Netherlands and reportedly gave De Jong a blank check (metaphorically speaking, according to Sport) which means financially they will outbid us without a question.

They did. But Frenkie has still the last say.. What does that say about PSG? They were not confident about there previous offer.

He hasn't though, in all seriousness. We might not like the fact that he is taking his time to make up his mind, we might not like that if he really prefers PSG to us but so far it has just been various media outlets and twitter accounts disseminating their speculations one way or the other, he hasn't said a word so far, has he?

The only thing we can accuse him of would be, in my opinion, if there was truly an agreement between him and the club and he ends up breaking it for whatever reason. We will see I guess.

Abidal confirmed we made an offer. It's really all up to Frenkie now. If he joins and fights his way like Arthur or Vidal have, great. Let's see what he's made of.

Pretty reliable catalan media said yesterday that Barto told him two starters would be leaving within a year in case he joins. Its the journalist who broke their trip to Amsterdam.

Rakitic and Vidal/Busquest?

Who are you talking about? Rabiot or De Jong? What exactly has De Jong done wrong compared to Rabiot's attitude? The hypocrisy is a bit strong here.

Yeah there is no way Busquets will leave any time soon. Rakitic and Vidal might, if we find replacements.

I seriously doubt Bartomeu promised De Jong such.

Vidal doesn't even have to leave, he's been a great influence on Dembele and the locker room morale in general. Rakitic needs to be sold to get us another 50M, like we did for Paulinho. Vidal can stay until Puig is ready for the first team, which will be exactly around the time that Vidal is well and truly finished and ready to fetch us another 50M for selling him to Evergrande to join Paulinho and Boateng, who we will sell for 20M to Evergrande in the meantime too.

Anyway, it's all on Frenkie now, hope he chooses us, i've been dreaming of that Arthur-Busquets-De Jong midfield for a while now, with De Jong also playing CDM to rest Busquets, while Alena comes in to partner up with Arthur at CM.

Tough to consider Vidal "a starter" yet?!
Anyway, Busquets leaving isn't out of question, many of those guys aren't interested in being "one club" players as many would think, most of them think a new experience is good for them at the end especially for post playing career.

Yeah, not Busquets.

He is fine, even if he won't start all the matches in the next years he is here to mentor the new young guys a bit. It would be foolish to sell him before they get to see what "tiki taka" is all about. After 2 or 3 years I can see him leaving but not before.

He is just signed a massive contract extension. No way will he leave by his own volition. If I had to bet who would leave last between Vidal , Raktic or Busquets. The choice would easily be Busi.

Some folks here seem to be under the impression that Guangzhou Evergrande (and Chinese clubs in general) is run by a bunch of fools who will just blindly recycle our unwanted players and pay us big fees for them. That is simply not true. Due to policy changes and financial realities Chinese clubs in general are no longer paying ridiculous amount of money chasing foreign players.

The reason why Guangzhou Evergrande wanted Paulinho back was because he was one of their best players, a very decisive player and a fan favorite before he joined us and he was really missed by them when he was with us. They are not going to pay us 50m for Rakitic or Vidal or KPB a couple of years later. On Malcom the rumor of Guangzhou Evergrande wanting him seems to have originated overseas as I read almost no original Chinese source saying that they want him.

Paulinho is an one-off situation that can hardly be replicated.
