And also fuck yourself over by decreasing his value.

His value has been decreasing since 2019, the moment he got transferred in... Wake up!

It's exactly as Coutinho and Griezman -> constantly decreasing value due to shit performances. Benching him won't change the trend at all.
It might be even better as it might hide his performances on the pitch

If Barca was dealing with Bayern for instance, they would be lucky to get an offer of 50m Euros.
Only UTD are both rich and dump enough to meet 85m asking prince bonuses included.

If he stays here, next summer 40-50m bonuses included will be a dream

De Jong does not deserve that money, if he wants to stay so bad, get 60% lower paycheck.

No?

Set him on the bench so he can watch WC from home.

He'll still start for Holland at world cup if we keep him on the bench. There must be some reason as to why he's being stubborn and we can't really kick him out

The only club that wants him is Man U.

He does not want to join Man U. ( no one can blame him- Man U fucking sucks and no one in their right mind would move from Barcelona to Manchester)

Even if Manchester United were to agree & pay Frenkie De Jong's financial dues with FC Barcelona, the player would still not be keen on joining them. He doesn't want to play in the Europa League.@TheAthleticUK

lmao.

Well Barca is his dream club plus who would want to leave us given the team / squad we now have ??
Even Pjanic says he wants to stay and fight for a place

I don't think he leaves and I'm certain he doesn't take a significant pay cut. 10% might happen though.

Next year he'll be worth 40-50M and his apologists will still say that it's about Busquets taking his place in the team. And that we should keep him longer as Busquets is leaving and finally Frenkie will be able to perform. So starting his 5 season in Barcelona, Frenkie will be unleashed.

Bench his arse and sell in winter

Should not have invited him to the US tour.

It's not the nice thing to do then again Barca is hardly in a position to play the nice guy.

FDJ also partly to blame for being an Arhur rather than the Iniesta Barca bought him to be.

Except he hasn't been a disaster like Coutinho and Griezmann, and he keeps putting in very good performances for dutch NT. The quality is there, he is a very good player.
