He's still only 18, isn't he? So a bit early to be writing him off yet. Look at Pedro, he didn't properly break through until the age of 22. Not all players are ready to burst onto the scene in their teens in the way that Messi and Bojan did. Hopefully this season is just a blip for him. It does look like he was overhyped though.

Edit: Just checked and found out that he turned 19 this month. Ah well, still pretty young.

His agent, Zahavi, has threatened in the past to take him abroad if he isn't assured first team football in '10-'11...I say let him go to the Premiership

Could just be Zahavi being Zahavi but I've also read plenty that Gai loves being a Barcelona player but who knows....What is clear, IMHO, is that he's not ready for regular first team football with Barca...yet....He might get there but he could also go the way of GDS too

He really should take notes from GDS's case. Pedro was patient and look where he is now. Gio, however, was not and look where he is...

Gio didn't even have the reason to be inpatient. He was already a first team member when he left, having a lot of games at his belt. What a stupid fuck he was. I hope he has a good time in the Turkish league now. Or maybe he liked Championship better, I dunno.

I though this guy has gotten a lot of opportunities to train with our first team?

If thats so, Pep will have got enough information about him, and his prospect of getting first team promotion, hopefully its a positive one for him :)

I think Jose is dealing with much more important things than Gai and Bartra atm. Sounds like some biting from Sport again, we're going to see a lot of these things while he's managing Madrid

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Gai can leave if he desires... If he doesn't have the patience and determination to become a first team player then he can try it a lower team, I mean, what do this teenagers expect? He has not proved anything, he's just a promise, but he thinks that he just deserves a place in the first team without earning it? This situations piss me off, such ingratitude for the club that has "raised" him, he acts like the club owes him or something...

I predicted back in January when his agent was clammoring for a first team guarantee that Gai would be gone...I'm not the least bit bothered to see him potentially go, tbh
