So let me get this straight, we have 2 right wingers (Dembele and Malcom) who both play on the left so Messi can play as a RW which he doesnt want to? We also have maybe the best LM/LW in the world in Cou but he is playing as a RCM?

Dembele started out as a left winger in Rennes, and played as much in the left as he did in the right in Dortmund. His default position being a RW in Barcelona wasn't because he's a right winger, it's just the set up Valverde chose to put him in. He can play with equal quality in pretty much on either side, he's probably our most versatile player thanks to his ambidextrous qualities.

I don’t have a problem with Dembele playing on the left because he’s one of the most two footed players in the world. It never really mattered if Pedro played on the left or the right, it can be the same with Dembele.

But playing Malcom LW is a nonsense, especially to accommodate Munir who is crap regardless of the position.

And playing Coutinho RM when he’s so lethal playing LM is equally baffling. I actually like that Valverde is playing him deeper, but play him on the LEFT side!
