Gerard Deulofeu

That game was a perfect example of why Everton don't have what it takes to ever be anything more than mid table. The finishing was a joke.

Deulofeu's development seems to be going along nicely, but being a great role player in a mediocre team won't keep him satisfied for very long. He'll be too good for Everton before he's good enough for Barca.

Everton fans seem to think it has a lot to do with that clown we have as a goalkeeper who keeps costing us goals and points every game.

Yeah I noticed that almost all Everton fans bash Howard with no mercy. Surely he isn't the best gk in the EPL, but he is decent enough imo. Does he really make so many brainfarts? Coz I haven't noticed it.

Howard is a decent shot stopper however he is horrible on crosses and his kicking is poor but the main issue is that he is guaranteed to make a howler once every 2 or 3 games.

Our record with Robles in goal compared to Howard is scary. This is from last season (around February) but things haven't changed. Needless to say Martinez brought him straight back into the team.

Appearances 18 - 7

Clean Sheets 3 - 3

Average Goals conceded 1.56 – 0.86

Average saves per game 1.83 – 2.00

Average claim success 98% - 71%

Average punches 39% - 57%

I was only awake to watch the second half, but your keeper wasn't the one responsible for the numerous sitters missed.

When did this turn into the Tim Howard thread ;) Look he's crap. Practically every Everton fan will tell you that. End of story.

I don't care about Howard at all but to blame him for the loss when you missed at least three wide open shots (Failing to so much as put them on target) is madness.

You're the one who brought Howard up in the first place. Is he the Everton fans' scapegoat for the team as a whole being mediocre?

What's the buyout?

I don't expect us do it though seeing how Song and West Ham keep screwing us over and basically got a good epl player from Barca for nothing.

Everything to do with our inept "loan" policy.

Same as with Bojan who was loaned to Roma, then to Ajax and then Stoke bought him for 1mil. pounds

He was partly at fault as was Stones but it's not just that game but in general. When Robles plays the whole defence looks more solid.

Most of the fans blame Martinez and the whole team isn't mediocre. Lukaku, Stones and Barkley are probably going to get sold for around 150m and then we also have a host of very very good players including Deulofeu and even players like Coleman who has been talked of highly on this forum. The fact we aren't challenging for top 4 this season is mainly on Martinez. The man can't organize a defence.

Yes our finishing should have been better 2nd half but we shouldn't have gone out un-motivated in the first half and not being able to put together 2 good halves in a game is a common theme this season.
