Too much hype on Deulofeu, the guy is good, we should just allow him to grow with less pressure.we have kids like Adama and Ebwelle in La Masia who are equally as talented as Deulofeu, but there is less hype surrounding them which is good for their development.

When I will see those 2 being the best for Barca B, as Deulofeu was in the second half of the season, while being the most inexperienced player in a team coached by EUSEBIO, I will be sure to hype them as much.

Until then I will keep my criticism for when he returns in Barcelona and doesn't deliver with the team that I support.
Because as much as I hate this kids character, he is tremendously giffted and if he would have better mentors(like Cristiano had SAF) he would be a very good footballer. And everyone who judges him only for this tournament, should keep in mind that he's the only one in this spanish side that played 34 games in Segunda A, against 30 y.o. deffenders, while the others played against kids all season.

Deulofeu needs time...

Im sure with Players like Messi Xavi Iniesta etc... He wont be going for Glory...
1st of all... I think he is doing this.. So that people notice him... He is that kind of a player... If he is made to believe that his slight selfishness will cost him his place... I think he'll cut on that... Zubizaretta last season made it clear in press saying that Deulofeu should know tht he is no Messi.... So I think that by the time he gets into 1st team... This message would be clear on his head.... Besides he is not selfish for scoring goals... but he likes to dribble and have the ball at his feet....

I personally think this boy is a future star...
By the way... I heard that
Deu Lo Feu in Catalan means "God Made Him"...

Hey man, nice first post!

I think he doesn't need to look far for a blueprint for his way into 1st team. Work hard like Pedro or Cuenca and you'll get your chance.

people are saying there´s too much hype for 2 years already
aren´t you tired, just look at what Deulofeu did with defenders yesterday, you clearly haven´t watched the match or you are just saying he is overhyped because you worry he won´t make it and you would later be laughed at, he didn´t score any goal but he was best player by MILES
well one has to trust a player like Gerard, his record with Spain NT and Barca B is tremendous

I feel like I'm in the camp of him being overhyped but there's no denying his skills...I worry more about his head, talented kids fail to succeed all the time...I bet you the current crop of stars on the team have people they knew as adolescents who they were certain would be stars...but never were

Takes more than talent but there's no questioning how much talent he has...Defenders fear him and there are few players on that level who command the attention he does on a pitch

Of course, there's also no denying the need to dial the hype down...He knows/feels the hype too, he's the cockiest player on the pitch...Teams hate him and the fans direct their ire towards him too...He likes it, a bit like the other glory whore in the capital city

As for "overrating"..
I don't think there's much to rate before he shows off at a higher level. He's a talented kid but we've seen so many fail already and then we've seen some with far less talent succeed when only few predicted they would.

Indeed, some players feed off the attention, whether its good or bad. It seems to me that he has everything you need to become a top class player, including the confidence in his own ability. You need that confidence so that when things aren't working out, you're still prepared to carry on trying something different.

What I liked about his performance yesterday against Estonia was, while the rest of the team were content with the lead and keeping possession, everytime he got the ball he wanted to make something happen.

Definitely...I think that certainly contributes to my ambivalent feelings over the player...Hard to really like a cocky player like that...Dani Alves?...He's amusing more than anything but some of them you feel are just begging to get chopped down...Not sure how you rally behind a player like that...If he was at least consistently showing he's a hard worker, it'd be easier to take but he's prone to some laziness & selfishness at times
