Gerard Deulofeu

Trequartista

The good
Disappointing first half, good second one, surprisingly he the more he is to the right touchline, the better he plays
another full season at the Segunda will help him A LOT,patience, folks

Hi, its me..
was awful in the first half, cant remember a time where a player has given the ball away so much

but still, pops up with the match winning assist. Certainly a lot to improve on, but the talent is there.

He has what it needs to become a good footballer, although probably not at Barca? Reading comments on him, not only on this forum, but in general, that he doesn't really fit to the Tiki-Taka style ;) Yet again, didn't he play in the first team last season against Mallorca or something? Either he just understands that Team > Player, as Messi does, or he won't have a chance at Barca. One of the reasons why Ibra didn't make it was not only his footballing, but also his mentality.

Perhaps it was the tactics last night but I saw one of the aspects of his game that annoys me and that is workrate...Everytime he lost the ball, he seemingly gave up on tracking back...Perhaps that was owing to the tactics to not tire from working to win balls back against a very tenacious & athletic Greek side but it reminded me that he has shown a propensity to pull a Clownaldo and just stand there on the pitch

He's gotta be to tired trying to dribble all the opponents :D

He needs to understand that football isn't a individual sport. He always tries one or two tricks to much, which result in giving the ball away. Even in the match against Mallorca (?) with the first team it was clearly visible that he is way too egoistic. He has got the talent, but he needs to play in a more adult way.

Such an exciting player to watch, yes there is a lot he can improve on, mostly in regards to being more of a team player but let's not forget he's only 18. It's not like this is how he's going to play for the rest of his career. I hope we keep him and he can continue to improve here.

I'd say right now he doesn't need to play like an adult. We should let him play his own way, and let him find his own way to apply his 'egoistic' style against more matured opponents. In other words, we should give him the time to mature naturally.

Honestly, I think he did really well in the tournament. The way he is being judged by certain people around here is too harsh imho.
