Gini Wijnaldum

Don't know about him.

We need good CM, Moriba is just to raw. Puig also. We are left with Busqets,De Jong and Pedri.
Pjanic is going to leave.

I think it is good option to sign him, if there is no any better player considering our budget.

Also we are not linked with almost no one from midfield players which is weird, knowing we only have 3 players.

And these three players would be dead tired end of the season. We need new midfielder.

Would still take him if wages are reasonable.

The likes of Ilaix still needs time and is not at that level and midfield lacks experience if club do right thing and punt Busquets/Roberto.

He will get offered moves elsewhere though so cant see it and think Barca will pass on him and be light in midifeld again next season.

I am Leg End
As stated in my OP I am gutted if he does leave us.

Let me explain what Gini does for a team. Klopp picks Gini to start pretty much every game he is fit as he is integral to his system. Like Firmino.

Gini is very comfortable staying central and compact making him an excellent interior midfield as he don't drift outside to get easy space which allows Trent and Robbo the space needed to thrive in the system. He is excellent in small spaces and creating small combinations. He is excellent at protecting attacks. Whoever is behind the ball need to be able to manage players who break fast. Gini does this very well.

IMO dealing with defensive transitions Gini is easily top 3 in the world if not No.1 in the world. Gini is mobile, covers ground quickly and is excellent at retaining the ball and playing in small spaces and transitions. I'm gutted to be losing him.

Which is why when I quote fools like I've just done who are complete idiots who know nothing about the game except looking at 'stats' or goals and assists in judging players are complete and utter morons.

Personally I'll take Jurgen's judgment who's made Gini and Hendo ever presents in HIS team when fit over an idiot and others who don't appreciate Gini or look at football at dumbass way.

So, yeah I'm gutted if we are losing Gini.

Just wanted to reiterate what I wrote a while back. I'm gutted Gini is going as looks likely :( He's been a great player for us. Personally I don't understand why Barca aren't snapping him up and allowing him to possibly go to Bayern or Inter.

I think he is good player, but what new does new offer to us except experience?

I watched few games, he is good passer and can keep the ball when he is pressed.
Same thing what we already have.

Workrate, energy, muscle, can defend. We have too many weak players in midfield. Should provide some balance. He can make runs into the box aswell. Best example is someone like Seydou Keita. Only issue is his age and maybe his wages. Not sure how much he would ask for.

Should organise a 2+1 deal. If he plays a certain % in the second year then it automatically extends.

Anti-everything
Issues was reportedly wages + contract period, think he would be a useful addition if it wasn't for that otherwise.

We need some energy and physicality in midfield. So sick of seeing our weak, technical players get blown apart by guys who have greater intensity and strength.
