Club full of mercenaries. Don't think barca or any club are jealous of that. Where's it got psg? Losing the league in France? A ucl final that they didn't win. No one cares about finalists, just the winner. 1st loser is the same as 8th loser.

Dutch press claimed PSG offer was far higher for Wijnaldum.

Catalan press contstantly points to players Barca are over paying and want to reduce so done always claim pay players less.

Ter Stegen does not get 18m net. Stop spouting trolling nonsense.

Both Wijnaldum and Donnarumma salaries are quoted as net and also take into account large payment to Raiola let alone what gets paid as signing fee to player.

Ter Stegen makes 18 m a year. German press and Marca already said it. He was asking for 24 m a year.

l didn't say that our offer was lower. but, not the double like Catalan press claimed.Lequipe already said that our offer was a little bit higher.

He doesnt make 18m a year net and the numbers you quoted for the two PSG players are net.

Terrible comparison.

You believe the French press but scold folk for believing Catalan press.

Glad we didn't budge on the accepted offer. Not worth it for us and from his perspective you can't accept our offer when another club gives you 3 times as much. Good luck to him, now sell the deadwood and bring on better players than Wijnaldum.

Now, we are a force in CL anymore. We played a CL final last year and semi final this year. The club has the fastest growth rate financially.

Our FFP problem ended and we are now free to invest heavily every year.

He's a Barca fan, a PSG fan, a Borussia Dortmund fan, a RB Leipzig fan and god knows how many more teams he supports. Sounds like he's 12 years old that supports whatever team is doing well or signing good players. He definitely types like one.

Sure but this analogy to me has less impact when we're talking about the sort of salary footballers are on. If I'm a general manager at a restaurant and earn 50k a year but then another restaurant offers me 120k a year that's a life changing amount more. Wijnaldum will start and end this contract a multi-millionaire. Just as he would have done coming here. Unless he has ambitions to set up several business pursuits (maybe he does and in which case, fair enough) it's simply more money in a bank account full of money.

This. Imagine someone offered you a double salary and actually successful team in the past two years in CL. It's not like he is choosing worse project anyway.

Depay is bit different because different stages of career. France, been there done that but Wij never banker a lot of money and he won everything already, so money makes sense.
