I know its a stereotype, but italians have a reputation for being cynical cheats and acting all innocence about it. He is the italian stereotype, but obviously its wrong to say all italians are like that. Many of them are fair, just like players from other countries, and players from other countries can be cheats too.
I don't think that this is a valid stereotype. Don't confuse winner mentality with being cynical or cheating. Chiellini does not cheat, he is just your typical "no-nonsense defender" that sometimes goes over the top. Not much different from Ramos actually. Chiellini just happens to escape punishment more than he deserves in Serie A.
He can be a defensive beast on his day but also a laughing stock.
If I was Carlo I would pressure Juve's back-four. If the right pressure is applied then players like Chiellini and Bonucci will be prone to making mistakes.
