Gonzalo Higuain

Beast

The Observer
Gomez for 14m
Llorente + Tevez for 14m~
Higuaín for 37m

Napoli are screwed

Gomez older (28) than Higuain and out of form & spot in Bayern for sometime they were practically giving him to the first bidder disregarding who it is
Llorente = free out of contract
Tevez much older (29 ) and with one year left in his contract

Higuain is 25 year old , starter for Argentina with plenty of time ahead of him and we wouldn't mind if he stays and frankly he is much more consistent than all the above names

Imo Higuain is underrated if anything. Totally worth 37 million, good business from Rafa and Napoli.

well it depends what is your gauge...

cuz on the other end where Torres go for 50 and Andy Carroll for 35 and Rooney for 30 at 18-19 then sure Higgie is worth 37 easy.

Oh definitely based on the prices of Torres and Carroll he is, surely. But being realistic, the first two weren't worth the price, and while Rooney was young, he was pretty likely to be a great player, he's definitely been worth more than that 30m for Manchester United, even though it was a kinda risk paying that much. I'd say Higgy is worth probably 30-32, you gotta take some off for his poor form in the CL.

Look at the deal from the unfortunate and realistic point of view of how modern day transfer policy is. I just watched Cavani get sold for 60 million- he is absolutely nowhere near worth that. Cavani is a good goal-scorer but not much else too me, and outside the Italian league he's never impressed me. Higuain has played second fiddle to Ronaldo, has had a few major injuries and has had to share playing time with a loaded frontline at Madrid yet he still seemed to be consistent. His link up play isn't bad either and he's not a selfish player. I think most clubs would benefit more from having him on their club over Cavani.

Torres 50, Carrol 35, Cavani 60, Alexis 39 (?), Neymar 57.....I think 37 for Higuain is quite fair, and is it really worth nitpicking 30-32mil vs 37m when players not nearly as good are going for much more.

Your wrong Cooter, Cavani is complete, very sharp in front of the goal, works very hard, can defend and pass, also decent at beating guy in box. One of best CF in world atm.

However, Suarez is even bit more versatile cept not as big and as good a finisher but better in other area.
