Gonzalo Higuain

Tied the goalscoring record in a season in the serie a with 36 (from Gino Rosetti in 1928-29 so almost a 100 years old).
Also scored 45 % of Napoli's league goals.

I do find a lot of Barca fans moaning about Higuain screwing Messi to be pretty petty too. Saying things like "he should be nowhere near the national team" is ridiculous, he's literally doubled his goal tally this year.

Its not just higuain that chokes. Its been awhile since Aguero actually performs against teams that are not midtable english teams. Di maria's brain dissapears and he just goes yolo when it counts.

His goals compilation this season reflects a diverse skill-set. Uses his strength to greater effect and combines it with intelligent reading of the game. He really has become a complete striker. If not for his suspension, he would have set a new all-time Serie A record, and run Suarez close for the Golden Shoe. But then that's the story of his career, do great things but also fail in circumstances that could otherwise have elevated his status.

.If Higuain played with NT the way he did with Napoli he is actually gr8 fit . problem is his long history of choking might suggest we might see a different man in the Copa

Yep. Messi collaborates with Higs better than anyone else, and its been evident from day one. What Messi needs is not ball-playing forwards (which is what ARG have in abundance), but an off-ball runner, and one who can hold off defenders, and release him with quick interplay. Higuain does that. It's no coincidence, ARG tend to create more when both are in attack. And given the fact that Gonzalo these days leads the line much better, he could be Barca's Suarez for Messi if he actually brought his mental A-game for the Albiceleste. But then that's a big IF.

The problem with the lad he tends to fail when the pressure is too high. That's weak mentality, so it's baffling how he made it to this level and still manages to choke in the age of 28. Otherwise, yes, he's the best fit for Messi.

Yeah, Aguero's an even bigger choker. Higuain at least gets chances to miss, Aguero just disappears (I remember him having like 2 touches against Tata's Barca ).

Tata should probably start Dybala up front against any decent team, can't choke worse than Lord Higgerz or Aguero

Dybala will be a revelation for Argentina. Wait and see. Tata just needs to grow a pair of balls and start him together with Leo first, which might not happen anytime soon. Also, Correa for ADM and they're set.

Higuain is still a choker. For Real, Argentina, and Naploi, I can count at least 3 big chances he missed. Real were right to stick with Benzema and Argentina need to incorporate Dybala in the XI quickly.

what is Dybala offering that Aguero and co do not offer? No country has more top strikers as Argentina, yet noone delivers? Maybe the problem lies deeper than that.

Perhaps not being selfish?

Aguero is incredibly selfish whenever I've watched him play for Argentina. It's a pity Higuain hasn't quite delivered at the most important moments, because he's always been Argentina's best CF(that makes everything click) out of all the different options they've had, including Aguero and Tevez.
