Grounds to visit before you die

Yeh I think it is. When we went to visit the Mestalla this summer one of my mates who's from Leicester was like 'the Walkers is as good as this, looks much nicer on the outside and we got the same facilities etc'. Think the mentality over here is that stadiums are supposed to look all shiny and new, meaning most end up the same both outside and in. Whereas you look at stadiums abroad, partiuclarly Spanish ones, they're often pretty concretey on the outside but once you get in there they're spectacular and far more impressive than your standard new British stadium.

To be honest the Mestalla is bad, not for fans etc, but the stadium itself is so run down. I was really looking forward to the Nuevo Mestalla, but there is a delay in construction.

It's not mega swanky true, but it still has more atmosphere and originality than the new stadiums in England. The Nuevo Mestalla is huuuuge, really hope they finish it, it's going to be awesome.

I fancy that portugal ground (Braga's, to be more specific), which was built into the rock or something. That's some freaky stuff:

We lost 0:2 from Denmark on Euro 2004 there.:surrender:

1. Mogadishu, Somalia, stadium Wednesday

The people there look very hospitable, plus I've never played against trees. Well, once I played with CSKA supporters' team and the feeling probably is the same.

2. Some stadium in Faeroe islands

The advantage here is that you could save your money and avoid paying the tickets. All you should do is to find a nice place on the hills take your girl with you and have a lunch.

3. [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]May Day Stadium, North Korea

yay, with its 150 000 seats it's the biggest stadium in the world. Looks like a spider and you could attend the Communist march if you visit it in May. :party00231:

4. Bonchuk stadium, Dupnitsa, Bulgaria

One of most fascinating stadiums in the world, latest ultra modern accomplishment of futuristic technology, the legendary stadium Bonchuk, where the local team defeated such teams as Bayern Munich, the then greats Ferenzvaros, sir Alec Ferguson's Aberdeen and many others. I'm not surprised of it, considering the lack of any police escort or gurds and the mad fans there, rarely you could meet a local guy who is not involved in the criminal underground there. So for your safety you better lose there than to draw down the anger of the locals upon you!

5. And finally I introduce you my super special project of the future Levski stadium:

Forgot about that stadium after Euro 04. Really weird with a random rock behind the goal, it looks kind of cool though, I like it myself.

I read that the stadium is also a damn, one of the stands is actually holding back water I think.
