1st CB behind the ball dictates the offside trap. This is basic defending rules. His responsibility is to watch the ball and mark his man. he cannot see behind him to match the rest of the line. The other defenders need to match him.

Ramos as the 2nd CB behind the ball, has the entire field infront of him. He sees the ball and sees Pique. His responsibility is to match the 1st CB's movement to create the offside trap and cover his mark. He neither matched the movement nor did he cover his mark.

Fullbacks never dictate offside traps. It is always the 1st CB behind the ball.

Fair penalty. Stop hating costa. He was raised in the slum and played his first organized match when he was 16 years old. He is brutal, ruthless and deadly. I like the guy. I am the only one on this forum though.
