They were expected to be the team everyone would beat in the group, but that turned out to be england.

Now you know the CONCACAF region have not done much when it comes to World Cups. From the Caribbean we have only had Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica who took part. USA and Mexico are the two consistent ones. Now we have Costa Rica moving on to the next round and they beat two previous champions and are not the whipping boys of the group.

Sure thing but is it that easy to make a whole geographical region proud of a NT? I suppose then that's the best achievement in the history of football for that region and I'm glad for them

I get it and I remember seeing Trinidad and Tobago at WC 2006. I guess Costa Rica had already surpassed may NT of the CONCACAF region with their performance at a WC except USA and Mexico.

Nice and I'll cheer for them for the next matches. I've always liked the small teams that have great results in big competitions !
