You don't have to start drama after one match.

Del Bosque can make adjustments to improve the team but Sabella can't??! It was a poor performance last night but doesn't mean that's all to see from Argentina.

Del Bosque is ten times better and ten times more decorated of a coach than Sabella. Yes, Sabella can make adjustments, but his squad depth isn't anywhere near to Spain's. Spain's entire bench from the Holland game could make a team just as good (even better when you consider club form) as the starting 11.

Well definitely didn't look like that from their first match. Sabella saw things are not working well so he made changes that improved the team. While the "ten times better" Del Bosque had no clue what to do to save his team.

Spain's attacking force is not anywhere near Argentina's either. They are not as perfect as you make out of them. You're just exaggerating.

Getting rid of Maxi Rodriguez for the 2nd half was a magic move but what the hell was that guy doing in the starting line-up!?!?

As I said, unlikely to see Spain-Argentina and if it happens we would have Brazil-Spain or Argentina-Portugal ( or Germany if Rasheen is right ) till then. :neymar:

People should be happy Argentina under perform. I never seen a team start out on fire in this competition and win. Slow and steady usually wins these races.

In 1990, Germany scored like 9 goals in the first 2 games and they demolished Yugoslavia ( which is Serbia+Croatia+Slovenia+Montenegro+Bosnia...and Macedonia :neymar: ) which was a great team, remember the KO-ed Spain and were only out to Argentina on penalties.

Brazil in 2002 was OK, they had a hard time with Turkey which proved to be the 3rd team of the tourny in the end so the hard start was justified.

Don't get us wrong, we're all hoping for a miracle, they were favs to win it in 2002 and miserably failed.

Some of the forum's male posters over-analyse and over-dramatize more than I do. Now, that's an achievement, Congratulations! :handshake:

I hope next time Sabella plays an European side, he fields not 5 but all his available defenders, DMs + Ezequiel I-shoot-to-the-moon Lavezzi.

watching the match between Iran and Nigeria, I think Argentina had their best opponent in this group yesterday. Still Argentina wont make it far with the kind of play we saw yesterday.

I can't see Argentina and Bosnia failing to make it to the next round. Quality of football in Iran-Nigeria game is just awful. I agree regarding Argentina vs better teams.
