Good game overall, really loved the way Germany played. The defence was looking a bit suspect at the start but as the game went on it got much better. No Pepe and Coentrao now for Portugal, USA might fancy their chances.

btw, I find it pretty interesting that people whose parents immigrated from the Balkans or dat near Eastern peninsula right next to it, always cling on to the national identity of their parents and forefathers, while Western and many Eastern immigrants most often see themselves as part of the nation and culture their parents or forefathers immigrated to. I don't think it's a coincidence.

It's the country he's been living in for 14 years. He said before the tournament that he'd sing both anthems. No problem there at all. Plus it's a good song, it's not hard to identify with it. I don't get this anthem obsession anyway. I couldn't care less about who sings what anthem and why.
