Honestly? if it's 3.5 Million would it be that bad of a gamble? especially if it's for the B team.

If he does well enough for the B team I'm sure we could probably make a decent enough profit if he isn't in our long term plans.

When you factor in that we paid 1m for the option on a player we don't even know we want, and that it was 1million that initially stopped us signing Takefuso Kubo, then it is money that could of been better allocated. Better player, more marketing potential and sell on potential.

He looks ok, doing things at a low level though. If the B team goes to Segunda then he might develop well there and hopefully not be another Vitinho. It is hard to find undervalued gems in Brazil who are 19 when clubs are actively giving chances to 16/17 year olds there. It is just highly unlikely.

Either Barca or Arsenal was very close to signing him back in April. Apparently, that is why we signed MF (to maintain good relationships? read that on Twitter). His fee should not be more than 30m, actually, some reports suggest that they want about 20m. That is absolutely nothing if you ask me.
