Brilliant 4-0 win

But Jesus Christ I was nervous in the first half, thank goodness Mbappe doesn't know how to run the offside line, even with all that space lol

The sample size was small, that was the only doubt with Flick.

But didn't Laporta know all along? Flick was always his first choice with Naggingman as his number 2 iirc.

He never really wanted Xavi either but realised he had no other choice and then gave him everything he needed. He just asked for one thing in return, don't fuckin' moan.

He wanted Flick or Nagelsmann. In what order is still unclear, but he was obvious about wanting a German style manager as he called it.

Was admittedly a nervy start, heartbeat off the charts ngl. Think it would've been different with Olmo starting, Fermin fecked up several counters and had little to offer besides intensity.
Barca generally did fuckall entire first half bar that Lamine chance
People act as if it was a lock all night, it wasn't
But done well to persist and stick to guns. Couldn't know Mbappe wouldn't finish his dinner

You make it sound like the first half favoured Real. Dead even game and then the 2nd half happened..

Yea That's what was reported.

I think what happen was the best way things could have gone.

I think gato has a decent point tbf. The high line is worked on tactically but, like Birdy says, it can be broken by cute and clever teams. Mbappe was just too eager tonight and didn't curve his runs enough.

It is a balancing act though because everyone needs to be in sync. One mistake and great players can get in and usually won't miss as much as Mbappe did tonight.

So Gato has a point to a degree, but so does Birdy.

It quite obviously did far as Real getting closer to Barca goal with regularity. Was far more a matter of people waiting for trap to be broken than anything else

Created nothing offensively bar the one Lamine clanger
