Loses versus Madrid and Bayern but wins versus Las Palmas and Celta Vigo.

3 points ahead in LaLiga, lower in the CL.

It is what it is.

One thing i would say though is Flick's foootball has definitely been an upgrade over Xavi haramball last season. barring the few bumps in the road last 3 matches our games have been otherwise impressive, especially against Bayern and Madrid. We were relentless in those games and others too. I cant recall anything like that under xavi.

Let's be real, Xavi wouldn't have won against Bayern and Real with his limited Football, but Xavi knows how LaLiga works.

Not only an amateur coach like Xavi.
All coaches in the world, bar a handful of selected few (Pep, Slot, Arteta maybe, Nagelsman, couple of others) would have
1) failed miserably against these two, and many other teams until now,
2) would have NEVEr developed the most potent attack in Europe scoring 4s and 5s here and there

BTW, the people here that are now turning into Hansi haters, are the very same that a month ago were waxing lyrical about how good the team is.
On the contrary, the ones of us that were bashing Xavi, were doing so since the 22/23 season, despite winning the league, because we saw the SHIT football and that this coach is far below the standards of a club like Barca

Fanboy/plastic fan mentality, not worthy of being a BARCA fan

Don't worry. The answer will come, and you will get humiliated again.

Weird that most of the Hansi out brigade have Messi in their username.

Coz I don't remember Flick saying anything negative about Messi. What's the matter here?

Combinations of:

1) Plastic fan mentality.
Glory-hunters in wins/ 'OUT' hashtags in losses

2) Low understanding of football (tactically, etc.)
They can't see when a team is playing well and losing OR vice versa, playing badly despite winning (like Xavi's 1-0s)

3) Tons of personal biases/prejudices
Like against German coaches, Barca-DNA crap ideologies, and others

4) Idolizing Barca legends means idealizing them and creating a distorted image of them. Like with Messi, Xavi, and others.
That makes them unable to rationally judge anything

5) Some (like Serghei) simply have agendas they are trying to push all the time.
But they do it in a sneaky and covert way, so that people don't realize and think they are trying to criticize in earnest, while in reality they are not

PS: Some have only 1 of the above. Some more...
But you see why I have reduced my answers to these people...

Hansi Flick: "I told the players about the importance of fighting. We discussed the need to fight, not just to play football. When I played football I never wanted to lose, and that's still in my nature. We have to reinforce this mentality to win matches."

I think he is right. Mentality is the problem right now. The attitude. The system was never the problem. If he can turn it around we will quickly flourish again.

The players are running. They are making chances too. But there is less hunger now than there was before Bayern and Madrid games (and of course during them). After those two matches, others were all underwhelming.

Espanyol second half was awful, Zvezda first half terrible too. Sociedad, Celta and Las Palmas whole matches were shit. All of this makes me think the problem here is attitude more so than tiredness or burn out.
