Liverpool and Barca could probably get one of

Juve
City
Madrid
Bayern

For all their great work, if he continues with his suicide line, it will not end well.

Teams are either sitting back and saying okay let's see how you break us down when we deny you space and so far in la Liga that answer is that we struggle with it, or they are trying to exploit the 50 yards of space we leave behind us on a regular basis.

And like I've said before and don said, no one can tell me a back 4 of

Christensen
Araujo
Cubarsi
Martinez
Kounde
Balde

Can't defend. we've seen them defend before, but when the system leaves half of the pitch behind them for the opposition to exploit, you are giving them an impossible task.

No one is saying flick should change is system completely, but this all or nothing football, needs some adjustment if we want to make a serious run at the CL and make any possible comeback in the league.

One thing I've noticed is that Xavi fanboys have this tendency to pretend this season started after the loss against Sociedad, and the only competition played was La Liga.

Like, one of the best league starts in club's history. 11/12 wins. 6 consecutive wins in CL. Supercopa win. None of that happened.

And this is pretty annoying because those same people pretend they judge his time here without any bias. But in reality if you are judging without bias you should judge his entire time here not just what happened during the poor form.

I really think you struggle with understanding the concept of a league or you are just being deliberately obtuse about it, I don't know which.

Everyone has given him credit for the CL, but you don't win anything for topping the CL, like I and many others have said, I would gladly give up 5 places in the CL, for an extra 3-4 points in the league.

Sorry, but you're the one who is biased and not judging his entire time. Look at the table. We are tied at 4 place with Bilbao.

The "best league start" was followed by the worst 8-game run. And on average, this is where we are - a bad league season.

Genuinely curious what position would you rather me in @MonteCuler

First in the league and 7 points clear of your biggest rival, which almost certain to qualify for the CL Knock out phase.

Or

3rd in the league, 7 points behind your biggest rival and closer to 5th position, than first and 2nd in the CL league phase, while beating your main rival twice.

Undeniable. But people are acting like he's clueless about league football, and don't believe he will ever get out of this form (despite us outplaying most of the opponents in that rough patch, which is a clear sign it won't last long). A good chunk also wants him to get sacked for it.

Flick has given CL the absolute imperative this season and I'm shocked at how a lot of fans don't support him at it but would rather win La Liga and Copa competing with teams 100x smaller budget, instead of actually showing up against clubs our level (something we have failed to do in 10 years).

Obviously everybody would love to be 1st in the league and I would as well but it is what it is. It's not like we can't fix it up or there are no signs of that happening.

1. You didn't answer the question lol.

2. Fans focus on the league, because you always more or less win it in merit unless you are vardrid, CL is more about luck.

Or 3rd option.

2nd in the league, 2 points off first and top 5 in the champions League group phase.

Point is OBJECTIVELY as of RIGHT NOW, we are doing the worse of all 3 big Spanish teams, when everything is taken into consideration.

But let's hope it changes, ending the season without a big title isn't something I'm looking forward to.

Why are you presenting it as if it were a trade-off?

You think Flick lost the lead in league cause you believe he prioritised CL?

I'm presenting two teams position as of January 24th.

No I don't think we are suffering in the league due to him prioritizing the CL, the CL position is just what Monte constantly points to as a pro for flick.

Ok good lad.

Is just that stakes seem a bit skewed. Still plenty of chance of making out of group if were in 5th place. Think most would opt for 14 plus points.
