His Bayern stint is underrated and not a fluke. Even before Covid started that team was a fucking machine, ppl often forget supposed "covid season" was played normally until March I guess.

If not for covid and if we played over two legs I believe he'd beat us by more than 8 goals. A humiliation there was simply inevitable and predictable, covid or not.

Lewy was a beast back then, he had proper fullbacks, insane goalkeeper, good midfield, smart defenders.... Pretty much all he needs, it was set to dominate either way.

Put a lot of other managers in his position and they won't achieve nearly as much that season, this is the point.

This guy is a king. Its clear Germany was the anomaly.

We are lucky we brought him here before he retired. Not only is he incredible, his style fits us absolutely perfectly. To a T.

100% BARCA manager.

Also some coaches fit much more club than NT football.

Flick ball works if you train every week and players absorb the concepts

Again, again, again.

Not tonight.
Both goals came from fuckups by Inigo, who first did not hold the line (was behind the rest) making the Atleti player ONSIDE,
and then made a headless recovery run leaving diagonal gap behind him for an easy pass

Atleti had never blown a 2-0 lead or a two-goal advantage since Simeone’s arrival.

It has been over 17 years and 662 La Liga matches since the last time they lost a two-goal lead; from 2-0 to 3-4 against Villarreal on November 4, 2007.

UNTIL THEY MET FLICK

I never doubted him when we was appointed because i always have managers start with a blank slate and take it from there, so I was positive about his appointment.

But i sure as hell doubt everything he did with bayern, Covid CL and all, he's providing me wrong on that.

I always like to hold my hand up whenever I take an L.

Now go with this freaking double.

Give atleti the Copa, they deserve something lol

'Covid CL' was a stupid line to begin with, perpetuated by clueless about football fucks like Malvolio

Anyone having watched Bayern that season knew they would win it even if they had to play 70 games

Painful memories for many, including me, but I remember the Bayern players laughing when they scored the own goal to make it 1-1.

They knew they were going to destroy us that season. 1 leg, 2 leg, COVID, no COVID

Yea the system and tactics were clear, some of it was my bias against german and french league football.

I take everything bayern & PSG does with a grain of salt.

Looking back at it now, that game was like a turning point. On that day I probably hated Flick from the depth of my soul, I don't even remember. But now I like what he did, no matter how embarrassing it was.

We hit the rock bottom and when you do that you can only go up. After that game, on a general scale, we only improved as seasons passed. New board came and the club was unrecognizable when all the legends were leaving one by one. Now things are shaping up beautifully again with some new guys.

What would happen if Bayern knocked us out with a simple 1-0? "Oh, we were unlucky. Oh, that's one of the best Bayern teams ever blah blah" Bunch of excuses that would amount to nothing.
