Seen this video being mentioned in the context of Barca signing him here, on X and in many other places, usually by non-native speakers trying to make the point that Flick is exuding authority here - which gives me a good chuckle.
This entire documentary, and this scene among others in particular, is infamous and a laughing stock in Germany. He's a C-list actor here doing the angry coach routine while displaying as much authority as your local pool attendant. Doing a speech like this in the locker room will get you laughed at when the cameras aren't rolling.
Bonus points for the "Ey" and "Boah ey" parts where Flick, as a guy from Heidelberg, resorts to Ruhrpott proletarian lingo staight from the 90s.
The other parts of the documentary, especially the part where he shows our NT a motiviational video about the mating behaviour of the Greylag goose ("Let's learn from the grey goose"!) for no discernible reason, at least became a good meme. The term "Graugänse" will now forever be linked with shitty, overly emotional, pseudo-intellectual and metaphorical bullshit speeches. Thank you Hans-Dieter.
Conclusion: 0/10 über-cringe.
