Btw, one good thing about this off season is that we are more discreet. Not many names leaked, only Nico thanks to the Spanish NT. Some smoke but not 10% of the usual stuff, mostly either made up or leaked from outside (agent or the other club) and a sudden surprise with the Dest deal.

I hope we are working on some deals (especially outgoing as we need that before we can sign someone) in the background but it's also possible it's just effect of Euros/Copa. It's usually a quiet month when big tournaments are going on but things will start to heat up in second half of July and then obviously in August.

Agree. It feels weird that there is very minimal transfer chatter being leaked club. Hopefully we are turning a corner in that regard.

Better not check and see what Laporta said about Nico then

If Flick is smart, he'll try to go the Spain way with the current squad. Still technical, but more direct play. He has most of the tools for it. In front Lewy in form is still better than Morata. Lamine stays, left wing either Nico or Rapha. Gundo/Pedri/Gavi/Fermin for the 2 offensive midfielder positions. Kounde starts to like his RB spot, LB we have Balde/Cancelo and good centre backs with Araujo/Cubarsi/Christensen/(Garcia).
The only problem is, that Frenkie isn't Rodri of course. But you can still use Frenkie's strength if you let him run forward with the ball, while Gundo/Gavi covers the spot from him. Flick did that in Bayern with Goretzka and Thiago, later Kimmich.
I believe 4-2-3-1 is the way to go this season.

Problem is, we aren't getting rid of anyone who featured heavily. This would imply, we had a good season, which we clearly hadn't.

In translation, we are being told that all players are good enough and only Xavi was to blame.

When will he have his first press conference?

Been at the club for 1,5 month and still hasn't appeared in front of the media.

4-2-3-1 is pretty much the only formation he plays, it will probably just be more high octane than Spain.

He will play that but in his 4-2-3-1 formation.

The only questionmark I have is if he will use Kounde as RB. Frimpong talk and rumours suggest he sees Kounde as CB
We will see

Thiago reportedly negotiating to join the staff, he'll basically be a glorified translator.

Think we hired another Spanish coach who speaks German as well.

Julio Tous is the only one officially listed on TM.

He has built a good profile over the past 5-10 years.
