Hatem's required more power to beat the keeper from that distance and it is difficult to hit a shot with such power while being so accurate.

Greater would imply a really bigger distance. And in this case it was, at most, one or two steps of distance... And Adriano was more to the side, had less angle, while hba was almost straight to goal. Adriano had a more difficult shot, thus being better.

they look to be at pretty much the same angle.

It was hardly straight to goal. I'll post a video showing the view form behind the goal.

Ben Arfa's strike was much better, harder and accurate and from perhaps 5yds farther out than Adriano. Adriano is almost on the chalk of the 18yd box when he shoots.

His weaker foot too. They thought they were safe because they forced him on to his weaker right foot.

The first goal he has scored with his right foot in the Premier League, so I guess they had reason to think they were safe forcing him on to his right foot.
