He's great, don't get me wrong. But he might just be the only (type of) player we don't need, with both Pedri and Puig very similar type of players, and we should definitely bet on them, hopefully one of them can transition into the #6 role over time so they could play together. But Aouar is another #8. Yes, he is miles better and especially more suited to us than every #10 we've only been buying the past few years, but that doesn' prove anything, especially when all those #10 were total misses tactically to begin with. Especially when we have so many more pressing needs as a team, than to keep adding to the same (one of the best covered and with actual good players covered) position.
