He's great, don't get me wrong. But he might just be the only (type of) player we don't need, with both Pedri and Puig very similar type of players, and we should definitely bet on them, hopefully one of them can transition into the #6 role over time so they could play together. But Aouar is another #8. Yes, he is miles better and especially more suited to us than every #10 we've only been buying the past few years, but that doesn' prove anything, especially when all those #10 were total misses tactically to begin with. Especially when we have so many more pressing needs as a team, than to keep adding to the same (one of the best covered and with actual good players covered) position.

Puig has no future here. Pedri/Aouar can rotate with each other. Pedri no longer has to play all the time, and when we rotate quality isn't reduced. This mothafucker is so gooooood. Can't wait to see where he goes after Lyon.

Regularly played 90 minutes last season, with a total of 3255 minutes. This season, he's on 1809 minutes. That's comparable to Busi's and Pique's minutes this season, respectively.

He played 90 minutes just twice in 2021. Only injury he had was an adductor injury which made him miss 3 games.
Something fishy is going on. Maybe he lost all motivation knowing he'll be leaving, but that's also a warning sign.

He has played full 90 minutes only once in last 4 months, any reason for that?
Also, 3 assists in the season is a bit of red flag to me
